"ZACHOR" (Holocaust remembrance piece)

Each colored stroke at the bottom forms a flame leading to shamayim (heaven) Each color represents 1 million Jews that perished. Different colors signify all the different types of Jews that perished. The wording is from Pitum Haketores. Each word in gold describes the essence of each and every Jew. Tahara (purity) Tikvah (hope) Rachamim (mercy) and finally Kedusha (holiness). At the top right of the piece is a seal of Yerushalayim in 23 Karat gold leaf. This seal symbolizes the holy land of Israel which became our home land again after the holocaust. One of the characteristics of a Jew is hope and emunah. We hope and pray that G-d  bring the Mashiach in our time.
